When I was on my ski trip, I didn’t really think anything of the ski lift. I was a beginner and didn’t know anything about skiing at all. My friends that were riding with me didn’t really tell me how to get off so I ended up falling off the side after the chair lift itself pushed me off. Painful.

I am scared about the chair lift cuz in december Im going on a ski trip and at that place they have chair lifts only and I have never ever used a chair lift and Im really scared. The only thing I have used is the pole thing and an elevator type lift which you dont get on mountains. What lift is easy the pole or the chair lift?

No resort Ive ever been to has enforced it. And its not really that dangerous to keep it up. Unless it is really windy, you would have to try to fall off to actually do it.

The resort typically enforces the rule that you have to remove the pole straps. And leaving the safety bar up is just dangerous.
