What Does it take to get sponsored for snowboarding? And what age is a minimum?
Im 12 and yesterday was my second day snowboarding. My friend came with me who has been boarding for years. What are some tricks you would need to know to get a small sponsor? We can do backflips and we were planning on making a sponsor vid to give to our local shop. (Ya, it was my second day ever and i wanted to try a backflip so i did and i got em down) What are some must do things? SHouldi phone the shop or go in? Thanks
1st off, you need to be have a good attitude. You sound like a happy kid, so keep it up!
No talk’n smack or doggin on others. Companies like people with a good attitude and a smile on their face.
Get to know people at your local shop. Get to know other riders. Word of mouth helps.
Enter some of your local contest. Start winning contest and people will notice.
Go to summer snowboard camp. Windells, High Cascade, Camp of the Champions….
Have your friends film you. Watch yourself and see what you need to improve on and what you are good at. Bring your footage to the shop and have them tell you what they think.
There is no min age to get sponsored. I know girls who are 6 & 7 that are sponsored by Burton
