What is a good and cheap camera for snowboarding?
I need a camera that me and my friends can use when we go snowboarding. I need a camera that is cheap but also good for taking quick shutter pics and good pics in low light. A camera that can take pictures while we hit rails or hit jump and be able to take a picture without blurriness and in good quality. I would like the price to be under $200. PLEASE HELP!
I was asking myself the exact same question before I went on an overnight snowboarding with my friends last month!
For snowboarding, here are some of the criteria we looked at:
- quick shutter speed
- good in low light
- ability to withstand cold temperatures
- ability to withstand being dropped
- inexpensive (spent a lot of $ on lift tickets, transportation & food)
After deliberating for a long time and reading photography magazines for reviews, the cameras we ended up liking were:
1. Fujifilm Finepix Z33WP (weatherproof, very compact, good in low light)
2. Olympus Stylus 550WP (weatherproof, good snow mode, strong digital image stabilization)
Please do post which camera you end up choosing, even if it is not one of these two
